As a photographer I love getting to know my couples and document their unique personalities. It's easy to see why Amerique and Cory work so well together, between their rockin' style and similar nostalgia for vinyl music and all things vintage, these two are made for each other. Amerique and Cory arrived at Pullen Park in downtown Raleigh to meet me for the first stop of their adorable shoot. Amerique stunned in a classic polka dot dress and winged eye liner that would make Bettie Page jealous, and I don't know any man who wouldn't be envious of Cory's beard. I couldn't help but admire the last golden leaves of autumn, resiliently clinging on to the barren branches of winter, as we strolled through the park towards the carousel. On our way back we happened to bump into jolly ole Saint Nicholas as he prepared to visit the children that evening. In good ole fashion way, Santa offered up a few words of advice to the newly engaged couple.
Through the streets of downtown Raleigh we soaked up the last few rays of the setting sun on our way to the Father and Son antique store. I myself love antiques, so when they mentioned wanting to incorporate their mutual adoration of records, I was jumping for joy! We had so much fun browsing through old vinyls looking for their favorite artists and the covers with the best photos! I'm not going to lie, this makes me want to drag my husband to and old record store and do a few of these for ourselves! I hope you enjoy this look into Amerique and Cory's rockin' engagement session!
